Hi sarah, and welcome to Leith from sunny Naked Blog, possibly the original, and certainly still the best. As well as the list at the bottom of your page, there's a place called The Village in South Fort Street which embraces a fair amount of "culcha". Folk nights on Tuesdays. Watering ground of the Leith FM people. I'm pretty sure you'd get a chat there, especially if you mention Naked Blog.
However, it *is* almost impossible to go into the Port o Leith without someone talking to you, even if only out of nosiness. Especially that :)

Thank you for the welcome! Ive tried the port o leith but i reckon it will be a few more visits before I get chatting to any one other than the bar staff. I will persevere! Never been to the village yet either but I hear there is the odd good bit of live music there. Wiil need to get off my ass eh? Let me know when the next fm meet is. I missed one in April i'm sure, but Id be glad to help out. Even if you give me a dull job. Can't be any worse than the job I'm doing just now!
